I am a Humanistic Counsellor and my counselling is mainly Person Centred which means that it is guided by you, not me and that the relationship we build together plays an important part in the counselling process.
I aim to be a warm, approachable & caring counsellor and I can offer you a safe, non judgemental place to talk and explore whatever it is that is troubling you.
Initially we would meet for a first session where we discuss your reasons for seeking counselling, your expectations and I answer any questions you might have. This is an opportunity for me to explain how I work and for both of us to see if I am the right counsellor for you. Afterwards you can decide if you would like to come back and start counselling.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and I abide by their Ethical Framework for Good Practise.
I have a Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Concepts, Level 3 Certificate in Advanced Counselling Skills and a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I have also completed further training in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Suicidal Ideation and Autism Spectrum Condition.
I am currently studying towards a level 5 Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
