Yoga with Karin van Maanen

Mindfulness yoga (body and mind) practice class
Tuesdays during term time from 12 till 1.15pm (during term time)

This will be a very gentle mindful movement and mindfulness meditation class, aimed at people who wish to discover or develop mindfulness meditation on a regular basis, combined with movement to become more body aware and to let go of tension. It will be very suitable for people with health problems and possibly chronic pain conditions such as arthritis, ongoing back problems, MS and energy related conditions such as chronic fatigue. But of course you do not have to be unwell to attend, as mindfulness practice is beneficial for all of us.

The venue is purpose-built for yoga and is in the countryside between Canterbury and Chatham.

The classes will be payable in half term blocks, and they are 8 per week (7 if you are on a low income) and the first block of classes will be 56 (49) payable in advance. If you are joining later in the term classes you’ll have missed will be deducted, as will classes you know you won’t be able to make at the time of booking.

Your Yoga Teacher

Karin van Maanen

Karin is a fully qualified British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) diploma holder with appropriate Health & Safety and anatomy and physiology training, fully insured through the BWY. Her teaching is inspired by Vanda Scaravelli's yoga teachings and the mindfulness tradition which centre around using the natural movement and capacity in the body to increase strength and movement as well as training the mind to be fully present with everything we do.
